Before we begin…

You’re allowed to read slowly.

You’re allowed to stop partway through.

You’re allowed to come back another day.

Nothing here is going anywhere. Neither are you.

Stress is often described as an emotion, but the body experiences it as a physical position: shoulders raised, jaw set, breath high in the chest.

Held long enough, that position stops feeling like a response and starts feeling like who you are.

Noticing it is not a failure. It is the first honest piece of information, and it is usually where change begins.

Nothing here needs deciding today. Your body will keep speaking, and you are learning its language a little more each time you listen.

Before You Continue…

There is no need to move straight on. If one sentence here stayed with you, that is enough for today — the rest of the library will still be here whenever you come back.

You should leave understanding your body a little more than when you arrived.

Whenever you’re ready

Both belong to Understanding Your Body — though you are welcome to wander out of it at any point. See the other journeys.

You are always welcome here, and welcome to come back to this one.

And if you’d rather not choose the next one yourself, there’s a guided way through all of this, taken in order — The Peacefully Stronger Beginning.

Where Would You Like to Go Next?

Four doors sit open here. You are welcome to walk through one of them today, or to close the page and let this conversation settle. Nothing waits on your answer.

And if none of these feel right today, that is a fine answer too. The door stays open.
