The Peacefully Stronger Beginning
A guided experience for understanding your body’s story

Why this exists
For years, the same conversation kept happening in my treatment room. Somebody would sit down, tell me what hurt, and then say some version of: nobody has ever explained this to me.
Not the scan. Not the diagnosis. Their own body — why it does what it does, why it got harder to stand up this year than last year, why the shoulder started complaining after the hip settled down.
I could only have that conversation with the people who could get to me. So I wrote it down. That’s all this is: the conversation I would have with you if you were sitting across from me, taken slowly, in the order it usually needs to go.
Whether this may be for you
I can’t know your body from here, and I won’t pretend to. But these are the things people tend to say to me, quietly, near the end of an appointment.
- You can tell how the day is going to go by how long it takes you to get moving in the morning.
- You've been told everything looks fine, and you believed them, and you still don't feel fine.
- You've stopped mentioning it, because you've run out of ways to describe it.
- You've quietly changed how you get out of a chair, or which arm carries the groceries, and you can't remember deciding to.
- You'd like to understand what's happening before anyone asks you to do anything about it.
If none of that sounds like you, that’s a real answer, and a good one. The Conversations in the Library are free, complete, and always will be — many people never need anything else.
What the six modules explore
They’re taken in order, because each one rests on what the one before helped you notice. You decide when the next one opens. There’s no test, nothing is measured, and nothing closes behind you.
Module One
Where You Are Standing Now
Before anything is explained, your own starting place — what you believe, what you’ve tried, what you’re tired of, and what you hope might be different.
Module Two
How the Body Communicates
What your body already tells you in ordinary ways — how long it takes to loosen up, which side you stand on, what gets harder on a hard day — before anyone calls it anything.
Module Three
Load, and Who Carries It
The ordinary ways you’ve found of getting things done — the leg you stand on, the hand you push up with — and why that is your body helping rather than failing.
Module Four
What Your Body Learned to Protect
The bracing that happens before anything has even started — and why a body that prepares for something isn’t imagining it.
Module Five
Why It Doesn’t Stay in One Place
Why the place that hurts most may not be the only place worth noticing — connective tissue in ordinary language, without the anatomy class.
Module Six
Your Beginning
Back to the question you were asked on the first day, and a look at what you notice now that you didn’t notice then.
Each one takes about twenty minutes if you read it straight through, and most people don’t. There’s no schedule. Come back to it in a week or in a year; it will be where you left it.
What stays yours
There are a few places in the modules where I’ll ask you something and leave room for an answer. You can type it, or skip it entirely — the writing works either way.
What you write is private. It’s kept with your own account, it isn’t read by me, and it isn’t shown to anyone unless you deliberately choose to share it. By Module Six, you’ll be able to read back what you wrote on the first day, which is usually the part people find most useful.
Once it’s yours, it stays yours. There’s no subscription, nothing renews, and nothing expires — including your own writing.
What this isn’t
It isn’t treatment, and it isn’t a diagnosis. I won’t tell you what’s wrong with you — I can’t, and anyone who offers to from a webpage is guessing.
It isn’t an exercise program. There’s nothing to perform, correct, stretch or fix, and no part of it depends on you getting an appointment with me.
It doesn’t replace your doctor or anybody else on your side. If something is new, severe, or changing quickly, please have it looked at.
What it does is help you understand what your body has been communicating. Most people find that understanding changes what they do next. That part is yours to decide.
If you’d like to begin
$79, once. Yours for life.
One payment, all six modules, and everything you write along the way. No subscription, no renewal, no upgrade waiting behind it.
You’ll make an account first, so that anything you write stays yours.
And if now isn’t the time, that’s genuinely alright. The Conversations are free and waiting.
